As you are aware, Indian Biodiversity Congress (IBC) is the largest biennial get together of scientists, conservationists, environmentalists, civil society groups and local communities concerned with biodiversity in India. We thank you for your support during the last two IBCs scheduled at Thiruvananthapuram (2010) and Bangalore (2012) respectively. The Third Indian Biodiversity Congress (IBC 2014) is scheduled at Chennai during 18-20 December 2014 under the joint auspices of Centre for Innovation in Science and Social Action (CISSA), C.P.R. Environmental Education Centre (CPREEC) and Navdanya. The activities planned in connection with the IBC include a National Seminar with participation of over 1,000 delegates, Exhibition showcasing the cultural biodiversity of India, Photography Competition, Civil Society Meet, Documentary Film Festival, and Children's Biodiversity Conclave. A brochure of the programme is attached for your kind perusal. The focal theme of IBC Seminar is "Biodiversity for Poverty Eradication" and there are 9 other subthemes where the participants can present papers.
