Leading National Research Centre in Poland announces call for applications for the postgraduate (PhD) Interdisciplinary Polar Studies in Earth Sciences
The Centre for Polar Studies (CSP) has been established by the University of Silesia (leading institution), the Institute of Geophysics and the Institute of Oceanology of the Polish Academy of Sciences in 2013. The aim of the Centre is conduct advanced interdisciplinary studies of the Arctic and Antarctic environment and training of young researchers. The SCP combine high level research of polar areas with teaching and training of PhD students through joint seminars, lectures, practical workshops and participation in scientific projects. Minister of Science and Higher Education, Republic of Poland honored the Centre for Polar Studies by the status of the Leading National Research
Centre in Earth Sciences (Krajowy Naukowy Ośrodek Wiodący – KNOW) for the period 2014-2018.
