| | NATIONAL WORKSHOP ON HERPETOLOGY | Monsoon is in full swing and this is the best time to search for reptiles and amphibians. This September in the last week, Department of Zoology, Balasaheb Desai College, Patan, Dist- Satara in association with Indian Herpetological Society, Pune is organizing a four days National Level Workshop (sponsored by University Grant Commission-UGC) on : "TAXONOMY AND CONSERVATION OF HERPETOFAUNA" The objective of this workshop is to educate and prepare participants on taxonomy of Amphibians and Reptiles of Western Ghats. During the first two days of workshop, participants will get an exclusive opportunity to work in the field with renowned herpetologists Dr. Varad Giri and Chairman of Indian Herpetological Society (IHS) Mr. Anil Khaire in the vicinity of Koyna Wildlife Sanctuary.
