Job Opening: Research Associate - IBP
Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and the Environment (ATREE) is a research organization with a focus on the application of science to conservation of nature, management of natural resources and sustainable development.
We invite applications for the position of Research Associate with following requirements:
Necessary qualifications
- At least a Masters in Environmental Science/Environmental Studies/Ecology//Taxonomy or a related field
- Skills and experience with the digital world of information collation, curation and dissemination.
Desirable Skills:
1 Sound working knowledge of computer applications and social media
2 Self motivated with good communication skills
3 Ability to network and organize internet campaigns to make biodiversity information available to all.
4 Past experience with internet web portals and databases would be preferable.
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Duration of appointment: Initially for 1 year (to be confirmed after the first 3 months) and extendable up to 2 years.
Location: The position will be based in Bangalore.
