We have successfully conducted the Ex-com meeting, and we have discussed certain issues about last year's activities along with future directions. I am hereby, summarizing some of the salient minutes of the meeting:
1] IPRN will have its annual elections in the month of July, and the new ex-com will be in place on 1st August 2014. A detail notification about new Ex-com and elections will be available at the end of this week.
2] Regarding last year's activities, 136 new members have been added to IPRN. Also, we have successfully conducted a panel discussion at Ocean Acidification workshop.
3] In proposed activities, we all are agreed on conducting a panel discussion at ISAES-2015, Goa.
4] Every ex-com member would deliver a lecture/presentation in school/college/university regarding IPRN activities and polar research. It would be repeated in every 3 months period. To conduct this activity, all Ex-com members would be putting their efforts to make a standard presentation for school kids/college students/university scholars.
5] We will have a field photography competition, and the selected photographs will be displayed on IPRN website. A virtual certificate for winners is also planned.
